2024 Southern 32

The 2024 Timaru round of the Southern 32 race series will be held on the 22nd September 2024 Timings 0800 – Doors Open & visitor practice 0930 – Open Practice 0955 – Driver Briefing 1000 – Individual Heats Begin 1200 – Clubmans Finals Begin 1230 – Overall Finals Begin 1300 – Lunch Break (bring your own) 1400 – Team Race Scrutineering 1415 – Team Race Begins 1700 – Racing Finishes. Times may vary on the day Entry Fees £15 for both Individual and Team events £10 per either Individual or Team event Other Info Tea and coffee available all day. There are several nearby convenience stores if needed. Parking in the Museum forecourt is limited but there is a large public car park next to the nearby rail station just a short walk away. Rule Changes

Tuesday was the last club night for the year and voting took place for rule changes for the year 2024. These were Club car Class : A club car class has been added. The cars will be provided by the club and will be one car for each of the lanes. Just turn up with your controller and race. Saturday session : a once monthly Saturday open session where you can test your cars and or try something new. Expected to be the same Saturday each month. To be decided. 1/32 production : This will now become a Genesis only round as per BSCRA rules. 1/24 : The motor in the 1/24 class will now be limited to any motor in the current Hawk type sealed motor range.
